Sorry this update is so late - we went to our Cottage last Sunday and returned today - no PC at the cottage.

didn't wear his band most of last weekend because I didn't feel the red spot was fading enough. We drove in from our Cottage for his Monday appointment. They adjusted the front again and since this was his week 1 appointment adjusted on his flat side to allow for growth. The ortho said he could still have a red spot on his forehead as long as the skin was healthy and they felt the skin looked healthy. She said some babies skin is more sensitive than others and this happens sometimes with tummy sleepers. Our next appointment is a week from Monday.

I'm not that happy with the fact that he basically has a red spot all the time. He just woke up out of a sound sleep screaming (which he has never done) so I took off the band. I will be taking him into CT on Monday even though we don't have an appointment because I am concerned that the fit on his forehead isn't right.

I am confused because this seems contradictory to the CT protocol. I asked the ortho about causing a permanent bruise and she said that it would go away once he was done with treatment.

Has anyone had a similar experience? The red spot does fade within an hour but never completely goes away.

Thanks to everyone on the board for their support ~ Crista, C., , Angie, Natasha, Krissy, , , , Sue, Christie, and !

Hello

Redspots should not be there all the time, and they shouldn't only

fade, but disapear after / within an hr. It sounds to me as if the

band should be adjusted a bit more. I would def take him in again.

He should not have these issues. Good luck and I hope that they can

get the fit right this time.
