What was your > post op regime, eg fluid, mush, solids etc? > Jo- I had fluids one day post op and then for the few days I was in the hospital and then I was told to eat what sounded good. I pretty much stuck to yogurt, juice, thin sliced ham, cheese and turkey for the first week and then it was whatever I could keep down as I had major nausea problems for awhile. I never had any real strict guidelines and from the beginning after surgery I developed a craving for protein that is still in force today. This probably does not help much, but keep in mind, that your tastes will really change after surgery--now sweets are much too sweet for me and I crave things that are savory. I will be interested to hear how things go for you. I wish you the best with all of this Jo--you will be in my thoughts and prayers for your surgery and beyond. Will you have someone let us know how you are doing?? I would really appreciate knowing that you are doing well. Please take care! Guest guest
, No worries. I will you all informed of what is happening. By the way, we met a lady at our meeting on Saturday who has had the BPD/DS done and is looking really great. She was a bandster prior to becoming a switch sister too. When she first walked into the office I thought that maybe she was lost and in the wrong place!! Mind you I could almost say the same of who is now in the mid nineties with the band.
