Guest guest
I need some sage advice on digestion problems I have had digestion problems probably as long as I have had all the other symptoms of hypo. Took the usual otc so-called remedies, doc then rxd zantac, prilosec etc. Those helped for awhile then the problems came back again. It is worse after my evening meal and last night I realised that my stomach probably is not processing food as fast as it should be. We eat at around 6.30, finished eating by 7.00 We go to bed around 10.30 and most nights, if I have indigestion, I am burping and still tasting my food at bedtime. Surely 3 and half hours after eating, the food should have been processed by the stomach by then? Wise ones, do I have a problem here? If so, what would help Lynda (in the UK)

It is worth a try...I know many other people on the thyroid list Betaine HCL has done great things for!
Guest guest
Sounds to me like you need digestive enzymes...you sound like my hubby, when he went on them...he did wonderfully!! He was on Digestazyme...we got it at our HFS, but I am sure you can find good enzymes anywhere..and cheaper than a HFS. Guest guest
Lynda... I had that very same problem for years and years... I finally got to the point where I just made sure that I ate no sooner than 5 hours before bed time.... then, when I switched to the mini meals... and eating 5 to 7 small meals per day.. I can actually go to bed with a mini meal.. eat it while watching tv, then do my bedxercises then roll over and go to sleep with no indigestion.... So... my thoughts... do you eat the last meal of the day as your largest? What if you were to eat a lighter meal a few hours earlier and made that familiy meal a smaller one for yourself? It might help your digestion, as it did mine, by giving your system less to process at one time....
