Guest guest
Focus and hyperactivity. But I also give it with CLO so I am not sure how much is due to which. When it used to take me nearly yelling something 8 times before he responded, he can hear it twice at a normal tone, and do it. But I feel like too much has a sedating affect and then he responds slower, like he's drunk or something. So I wouldn't use 750 mg (like my DAN said I could use)I use 125mg GABAcalm x 2 pills in the am and 2 in the afternoon if we have an afternoon activity. For those that use this supplement, what do u see it help with? Also, what brand do you like best? My homeopath feels my son needs it, something we haven't tried yet. Thanks in advance. -- Toni------Mind like a steel trap...Rusty and illegal in 37 states.
Guest guest
We use 5-HTP/ Inositol instead of GABA. Works OK with calming OCD behaviors.Have you tried oxytocin? This worked really well with our son too. I stopped it to try 5-HTP/Inositol for now. Seems to help him.NadiaTo: mb12 valtrex Sent: Thu, June 10, 2010 10:05:08 AMSubject: Re: GABA question Focus and hyperactivity. But I also give it with CLO so I am not sure how much is due to which. Guest guest
As far at the prescrip meds, please WATCH to see when your child comes off of it. At age 5, our pdd-nos daughter was put on a low dose adderall--at school only-- to help with her attention. ly it was like a junkie: shakes etc. When we saw that we knew it was not right for her and took her off..turns out she needed glasses so she could see the desk/computer. That being said, they are wonderful for those who truly need them but our daughter was very young and had no anxiety disorder that we know of. As a parent you are truly the best judge of what your child needs...it is very hard to trust yourself sometimes with all the input from 'experts'. Just my 2cents... > > , I don't know how you feel about prescription meds, but my son (age 7 pdd-nos, adhd, and childhood anxiety disorder) was having the same exact problems. We recently started him on adderall xr (low dose- 5 mg's) and it has made all the difference in the world. The change was immediate. His teacher can not say enough about the change in him. You may want to consider giving it a try. He is still himself and is not perfect by any means (nor should he be!), but he's able to think now and focus and digest information. He doesn't walk around in a fog like a medicated zombie (I was so petrified of that happening). I've been pleasantly surprised. > > > > > ________________________________ >
Guest guest
Hi , My son starting taking this a couple of weeks ago to help with anxiety. Can't say how effective it is yet, he allso takes L-Theanine. We use Kirkman's Good luck! > > For those that use this supplement, what do u see it help with? Also, what brand do you like best?
