no one shall eat my squirrels either! My son says I am part of the

ecological system here and our well fed squirrels can be mistaken for

small bears..LOL! They don't even take any sass from my Poms...they

all sit together eating in the same yard and peacefully coexist...the

squirrels, birds, bunnies, ducks, chipmunks and my pups..the night

crew are possums and racoons who come for apples, leftovers and

peanut butter sandwiches. When the baby squirrels are ready to leave

the nest, their mamas bring them here in the early AM's and leave

them until nightfall for a couple of weeks, picking them up after

supper each day ...they know the babes are safe and fed and watered

until they can get acclamated to solitary living. My sister says

it's like a disney cartoon here...they are all so clean and sweet and

friendly. Over the years, I've taken in several feral mama cats and

their kittens and gotten them all to no-kill shleters...this is a

process that takes months getting them to trust me and for them to

come regularly enough for me to get the female trappers I know to

capture and transport them. I am so against people who dont' spay or

neuter their cats and then the poor females get pg out here in the

coldest of winters or hot summers and the big fat papa goes back into

his home and is comfy... the neighbors don't always like me feeding

the feral cats, but I felt it was all I could do in order to assure

they wouldn't keep procreating and filling our yards with

ferals...finally it seems there are no more coming..thank heavens! It

cost us a bundle in cat food and trapping fees and donations to get

them all out of here. And I am so allergic to cats!

Hi , That is beautiful and you are precious. I would love to learn all

that you know. I live in the country filled with wonderful habitat all around

me. Had a " pet " blue heron that visited us each day...hasn't been

around...wonder if he is dead? We have quail families crossing our back yard,

pheasants, squirrels galore and a rabbit family under our large pine tree in the

front yard. There has to be 10 of them in there. I wouldn't harm a one of them

honest.

Anyway...what is a pom?

Hugs..and keep up the good work...Patti Sue

Whew - no one has asked about Rocky Mountain Oysters. :)

Louise

PS I love biscuits with butter only - not with gravy. Years ago this

restaurant served corn fritters - yum. I'll take Mexican food over

Southern. Tacos, bean burritos smothered in hot green chili,

tostadas, chile rellenos, sopapillas, enchiladas etc.

Last post here on this subject :) Will check out the coffee house.
