Guest guest
Hi to All! I've been working such long hours and have had such a busy schedule lately that I've been out of the loop here in Kidneyland. I would like to welcome our newest members, Pete, Cindi, on behalf of her Boyfriend, Dave and Cecile who is on CAPD, Chapman Fong, Liz with the 16 year old son , and Dave that is also dealing with Cancer in addition to the IgAN. Be gone just a week or so and a lot changes around here! You have all come to the right place. I really agree with the advise that Cy gave to one of our new members to just " Jump In " . She expressed it perfectly when she said that it feels like everyone knows each other here, but the reality of it is that probably 99% of us have never met face to face! But what you can trust is that we all are dealing with IgAN in one way or other and we will be here to help support you. Many of us here are " old timers " and have had a very long time to come to grips with the idea of possible kidney failure, which is why sometimes the conversations may seem rather " matter of fact " . But, we still have our fears and questions and need a " pick me up " from this group from time to time and we are all here for that purpose, so please don't hesitate to come here for support. To Marty, I'm very glad that your annual visit had positive results. You serve to be an inspiration for those of us out here who want to (or) can continue to work after transplant. Are you making the business trip to Ohio this summer? , we are so very glad that you're back. Your S Creatinine @ 2.7 from 3.6 is wonderful! I hope that you continue to improve that number even more. We were all very worried about you. Your Dad is a sweetie and it was very obvious how concerned he was about you and how much you mean to him and your entire family. Crystal, I hope that your Mother is out of the Hospital and I wish for her that her dark days have turned into sunshine as she recovers. , S Creatinine @ 6.1. Your positive attitude continues to amaze me! Just like Pierre, , Marty and the others that have had to face dialysis you all have helped to keep me calm about the whole " unknown " process. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. For the rest of you out there, I feel like I've been gone forever. I miss the daily chatter, the laughs and the tears! I'm either laughing like a hyena at my computer or trying to sop back the tears from a touching message. Since I work with all testosterone, I just let the guys here at work think it's hormones and they all leave me alone to laugh or cry in peace! Either way I miss you all like crazy when I don't get my daily fix. Connie Co-Moderator, USA
Guest guest
Hi Connie, Good to hear from you. No, it doesn't look like I'll be making that trip. I'm really swamped at work for the summer. I will probably be going to Monterey in California in November (Naval Post-Graduate School). Does anyone here live close by? Guest guest
, my deepest sympathies on your home repair. It can be a nightmare. We remodeled the kitchen last year. What was suppose to be six weeks turned into almost eight months.
