Guest guest
Surprise, surprise, DS is level 2 for cow's milk and wheat. No wonder we saw improvement when we went GFCF. Level 3: swiss cheese, cottage cheese, parsnip (I've never given him these things thank goodness). Level 2: cows milk, wheat. Level 1: yogurt, soybean, peanut, whey, goats milk, casein, buffalo.Do you usually see reactions to level 1? We've been SF (along with GFCF) for a few weeks and I felt like I saw a difference. The other day I accidentally gave him chicken nuggets with soybean oil and he was acting very wacky the next day. Do you usually see a significant response when kiddos are given a level 1 allergy? Thanks
Guest guest
depends on HOW you did the test. first is it an IGE or IGG test? if IGG it will only show what he had been eating and in cycle with it's lifespan to effect the body, milk has a 2 week cycle so that would mean you had it with in 2 weeks of the test., if you were clean for soy it MAY have been more reactive if you had it before the test. if IGE it will show regaurdless of being on it or not first food allergy panel is in Surprise, surprise, DS is level 2 for cow's milk and wheat. Guest guest
When I look at the lab receipt it indicates IGg. Now I have research to do because I'm confused. If it's based on the past two weeks, we've been GFCF for a few months... would all those things show up? It indicated wheat and milk but we haven't had any in months. I'm confused now. I'll now be google searching. To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Fri, June 18, 2010 1:29:32 PMSubject: Re: first food allergy panel is in depends on HOW you did the test. first is it an IGE or IGG test? if IGG it will only show what he had been eating and in cycle with it's lifespan to effect the body, milk has a 2 week cycle so that would mean you had it with in 2 weeks of the test., if you were clean for soy it MAY have been more reactive if you had it before the test. if IGE it will show regaurdless of being on it or not first food allergy panel is in Surprise, surprise, DS is level 2 for cow's milk and wheat. Guest guest
IGG is not allergy testing it's intollerence tesitng. so that would mean you had milk in the diet somewhere with in 2 weeks of testing you may have been cleaner on soy and it means soy would have shown up more if more had been there given the reaction you recoreded from an infraction. gluten takes 8 months to go away so that number will drop the more it's out. milk takes 2 weeks,. so relook at what you have, it may also be you had an infraction shortly before the test. first food allergy panel is in Surprise, surprise, DS is level 2 for cow's milk and wheat.
