Aren't you one who recently wrote what good improvements your child

is having on SCD? Take comfort in that!!! I assume these tests

were pre-SCD. That means you have chosen a good intervention to

help with some of thsoe issues in teh test.

What lab did your OAT? Great Plans does free consults about their

test results. If you got it there, call them and ask for a

consultation.

When we did a consult on an OAT with Great Plains (years ago), the

live person was able to explain things much better than the computer

generated report. In fact, she said some things in teh report could

be due to high bacteria/yeast, and might work themselves out if the

bacteria/yeast came down (that proved true, as per another test

months later).

Also the person was able to take into account the whole test,

whereas the report is just computerized - if XYZ is high, print this

paragraph; if ABC is high, print this paragraph. A live person can

integrate hmm, XYZ is high AND ABC is high, so that might indicate

this...

Is this making sense? Trying to say, don't panic. Yes, my child's

OATs are a mess too. Many Many high parameters. We have one from

last May, a dysbiosis report from Oct just pre SCD, and another OAT

from Dec. His levels of almost everything are improving, but they

are also bouncing around. It is not a straight, short road to

recovery.

Two issues:

Pancreatic function will need to be addressed by enzymes,

probably Creon or something similar.

Clostridia cannot be addressed by the SCD. You will need to

give him Vancomycin or Flagyl to treat the clostridia.

The rest of the test, you need help with the interpretation. As Sue

suggested, call GPL if that's where you had it done.

Also, GPL has a great website section that explains each and

every one of the tests on the OAT. If you can't find it on their

website, let me know and I will go look for it.
