Hi all,

Our doc would give 1,5 g for 12 days for my 11-y.old. Hi has Lyme and hight

streps, didn't respond a lot for anothers antibiotics but neither to natural

medcins (certenly, we didn't try all).

I scared about Zytromax: the first (and only) time we gave it (500 mg/day) my

son had huge herx for at least 2 month. It was at the beginning our Lyme

traitement. The doc's advice's to take Risperdal at the same time for manage

herx. It sounds very bad for me.

Any experience with that?

My son and I have lyme and strep. We have both used zithromax extensively for

several years. I would never recommend starting with a full dose, rather, try

1/8 - 1/4 of your target dose. Zithromax has a very long half-life and if you

take too much you will feel it for many days. Also, prepare for high ammonia

from die-off.

Furthermore, particularly with zithromax and a few other drugs, once you have

been using for a long time and seeing positive results, consider using a higher

dose on fewer days to see if you get more die-off if you keep increasing.
