doesnt' it also have to do with protein breakdown? something about not being able to either breakdown or digest protein? The Yucca helps when sprinkled on top of the protein you are eating.

I could be wrong but I think I remember something about this from one of my Dan! visits.

My son had a problem with protein and she told me to do that with the Yucca and how important daily bowel movements were for him to not build up ammonia.

Not just in their blood, but also inflaming their brain and other organs. Ammonia is rampant amongst those with autism and those with the other diagnoses like MS, Lupus, Lyme, etc. There are several reasons, I will just cover a few. Ammonia is released from bacteria, and bacteria thrive in it. Ammonia is supposed to be handled by many different workings of the body. One is that we need the healthy bacteria in our GI-tract to break it down. Oxalate issues, mito issues, etc. all effect our body's abiltity to break down ammonia and pee it out. Many will have high smells to their urine, which is usually ammonia. There are a lot of products out there to decrease ammonia that really don't work very well. L-citrulline helps many, but not all. Alpha-ketaglutauric acid works well in those who can tolerate it. Supposedly it might cause glutamate problems, but even though we have such, it did not for us. They say to use Yucca, but I think you have to use it daily to work. I think we get more luck with Acai and Goji than the other things I mentioned.Love and prayers,Heidi NIs it common for kids with autism to have high ammonia in their blood? If yes, why?My 7yo son has high ammonia, 59 and the upper limit is 35! his liver function tests are all fine. And his diet is very well balanced, i.e. not too much meat!TIA

Is it common for kids with autism to have high ammonia in their blood?

If yes, why?

My 7yo son has high ammonia, 59 and the upper limit is 35! his liver

function tests are all fine. And his diet is very well balanced, i.e.

not too much meat!

TIA

Thank you Heidi

According to the METATRON (a device similar to zyto) my son has both

streptococcus and staphylococcus bacteria.

Do you think ammonia is a byproduct of these bacteria?

Is ammonia level of 59 (the upper limit is 35) is something that I should do

something about?

The GI doctor who ran the test is not concerned about it !!!!!

I don't think the high ammonia in my son's case is due to meat consumption, he

eats very little amount of it! also he takes digestive enzymes.

The porphyrins test from Philippe Auguste lab showed that my son has no heavy

metals toxicity, but showed that he has allot of bio-toxins.

Is ammonia one of these bio-toxins?

Each doc is going to have different views and knowledge. Didn't the

Metatron also pick up some mycoplasma, Bartonella or Borrelia? I never

looked up which bacteria can cause ammonia, but it appears that most

due. Biotoxins from your the porphyrins test probably refers to toxins

from pathogens. When pathogens die, they leave toxic gunk behind and

their poop and etc. all leave toxins in us. Some pathogens are said to

excrete toxins on purpose when they are being killed as their defense

system. Yikes for us. Most with autism appear to have high ammonia.

Treating it can be helpful, depending upon your whole protocol. If the

treatment you choose fits in well with your protocol and his body works

well with it, then it can be gobs of help. Expect some die-off the

first few days of treating ammonia.

We started with a homeopath practitioner 3 months ago. She is the one using the

Metatron.

She dose not give us a report from the Metatron. That is why I can not tell

right now if my son has Bartonella or any other bacteria. I will ask her next

time.

She prioritize the treatments according to the symptoms and according to the

Metatron findings.

The practitioner told us that our son biggest problem is parasites (sp. pinwrom

" Enterobius vermicularis " ). The second are strep and staph bacteria and the

Herpes viruses as well!

She gave us remedies for the parasites and for the bacteria, and we ordered a

special remedy for the viruses from Germany, which we will start this sunday.

Do think parasites produce Ammonia?
