Guest guest
Sorry I havent been able to contact you sooner. My email wasnt letting me post and I have had my sister here from Townsville on hols and with the Olympics and catching up with everything after being away for two weeks, its been hectic. I had a wonderful time in America and Mexico. The "bandsters" are great people and made me very welcome. It was great meeting all of them and the doctors they talk about. Dr Rumbaut and Dr Kuri were exceptional. Dr Rumbaut paid half of the fees for the dinner on the saturday night and Dr Kuri paid for the chi Band (9 piece) who played for us. He also provided two bottles of tequila the next night for lucky door prizes and turned up poolside the next morning and bought "clamadas" for those of us who were hung over. I wouldnt recommend "clamada" for the feint hearted. Its like a bloody mary with clams cut up in it. I managed half of mine but the band wouldnt accept the clams !! Wayne and Layla on "bandsters" have posted photos which are worth a look. If you dont know their email addresses, let me know and I will look them up and post them for you. I did not intend to have a fill while I was there but ended up at the Xray place with the girls while out shopping. I thought I might as well line up too and am really pleased I did. Dr Rumbaut found I didnt have anything in my band and he put 2ml in. Boy what a difference. I now know what they mean when they say you can only eat the equivalent of a pack of cards. The weight is falling off but I dont know how much yet because I dont get weighed until I go to the dietician. Everything is getting very loose though and I am thrilled with my band - and my decision to go to the bash. I am really looking forward to the Australian one in March. I scanned my 452 emails when I returned (It only took 3 days). I recollect that there is a gathering in Melbourne on 26th October - or was that September. If someone will let me know where and when I will try and make it. How about it Suzanne ?? I have no idea why this is suddenly indented but one day I will get a handle on this internet stuff. If I never lost any more weight, having this band fitted was worth it. I feel so much better, more energy. I walked to Miranda Fair today instead of driving. Its amazing the things you notice walking instead of driving. The flowers in peoples gardens at the moment are a delight. I might even be able to throw away the Prozac soon !!
