Guest guest
Yes charge is interesting... but no its not fun. I hate the behavioural crap and being treated like everyone is afraid of me. If i dont use my white cane everyone thinks im drunk. I dont have the best balance cause I have scoliosis and ostioperosis. I can see well enoug that i dont really need my cane durring the day unless im walking beside someone who walks quickly. I dont like to use my white cane durring the day but most people i work with and most of the parents at the kids centre mostly know i use a cane. It has been funny that a couple moms were bothered by that im visualy impared and hearing impared and cancled their membership, but they were just idiots anyways. I didnt take it personaly. I gotta work right! Guest guest
Chantelle- That's crazy that people would be afraid of your vision and hearing impairment. I don't really get that, but then, there are lots of things about this world that I don't get. There must be a lot of anger and frustration involved in handling others' misconceptions about you. I can't imagine living with that on a daily basis. Stay strong, girlfriend! And thanks for sharing the " not fun " side of CHARGE. It's important for us to understand all of it -- the good and the bad.
