Dear Cristal,

I am very happy to hear that April's neph lowered her prednisone

daily intake. It must have been probably becouse that April's lab

tests' results are more stabile. It's really great news !!!

You have informed us before that your sweet daughter has gained some

weight becouse of this medication, so I do hope all will get back to

normal soon...

Please give April the hug from me,

Elvira

Hi Crystal,

Thanks for letting us know about April's lab numbers ( and April seem

to be on a similar schedule - just came back from his labs this

morning). I'm sorry to hear there was no great change in her numbers.

However, hopefully, as they lower her pred dose, it will be easier for her

to lose the weight she's put on - at that, at least, will be a thing of the

past.

What is April doing this summer? Whatever it is, I hope she's enjoying her

summer break.

Crystal,

I bet you and april are thrilled to get her prednisone lowered. I

know it can have annoying side effects. How does her creatinine

look? You are in my thoughts and prayers like always.

God bless!

Crystal,

I am not a doctor, but I am 5 feet 6.5 inches and I weight 120, and my ideal

normal creatinine before IgAN took its toll was 0.8. I find it hard to

believe April's normal would be 0.5, but then again I am not a doctor.

The more muscle mass you have, the higher " normal " creatinine you would have.

That is why a baseline for most males is higher than for most females, at

least as a general rule of thumb.

If she is 179 pounds, I would think that 0.8 is excellent.

Again, I am not a doctor, so this is only my layman's opinion.
