Guest guest
Okay, here's a new one. I got my yogurt starter stirred in, poured in all the milk, put the lid on... then instead of putting it in the yogurt maker and turning it on, I stuck it in the FRIDGE! Good thing I remembered at ALL, I'd have been really surprised when I opened it up, huh? So, I don't think it cooled TOO much - it was in there about a half hour, when I thought to myself, " I didn't write the time on a piece of tape on the outside of the maker, as I usually do, to remind me when to take it out tomorrow night - I'd better do that " and then I find an empty yogurt maker! Stood there a while wondering where on earth the yogurt went??? Can you tell I got 3 hours of sleep last night and I was trying to clean out a toad aquarium while messing with this yogurt? (yucky combination, sorry, I washed my hands, trust me!!!!) Short question: did I ruin it? Do we still have good bacteria growing in there?? in NC, USA mom to Luke, 5, Asperger's/salicylate intolerant/diarrhea pre-SCD; , 3, healthy;,19mos,healthy; SCD going since 1/26/
Guest guest
I think it should be OK. After all, you keep the starter in the fridge or freezer, so I don't think it will be dead, just not very active. But I think if you put it in the yogurt maker, it should be fine. -- Sue, mom to Adam and
