HI,

I am not a physician, but have these personally. I have had significant

improvement since I began taking a 250 mg. Magnesium supplement daily. The first

week I took 4 of them daily. They stopped almost overnight and I had been

nearly incapacitated for 3 mos. prior, taking Imitrex and injections of

something I can't recall now (it wasn't Demerol, although that had worked in

the past) about every other day. I saw Neurologist who is also Board

certified in Psychiatry who is interested in Migraine..She is in the metro DC

area.

Contact me directly if you need/want her name. This was March of 04. Since then

I have had only about 6, all lasting 2 days each and they are now so mild

that it takes me about 1/2 day to even realize it IS one and that I should take

medication. I am very grateful that something this simple could change the

quality of my life so significantly. I believe the magnesium makes smooth muscle

relax; stop spasming.
