Guest guest
Dave, Much of IgAN is only discovered on a routine medical simply because the symptoms can be very mild during the early years, so mild that they are only picked up when urine happens to be checked. At that point, it's quite common for nothing at all to be seen on tests like CT scans, kidney x-rays, etc. This is because there just isn't enough damage done to the kidneys yet. I don't think there is a single person in this group who has not encountered things to complain about during the course of their disease and their dealings with the medical world. Unfortunately, it's not a perfect world and sometimes things are missed. I can understand your displeasure, but at least they have found it, and we all have to move on from that point forward. Good luck with your treatment. Guest guest
Welcome to the group. Blood pressure control is probably the single most important thing. 150/90 is still on the high side if it's your resting BP. I'm sure your doctor will want to add something to the Cozaar if it doesn't go much lower. The best you can really expect from any given BP med alone is 5 to 10 points. Have you read the information on www.igan.ca yet?
