Guest guest
Hi Leila, I am now 32, but started off like that in my teens. At least that is when I noticed that things were going awry. Here are a few things you can do right now. Get a good mercury thermometer and a blood pressure cuff. Also, start taking you heart rate. Do you have any idea what your blood pressure and heart rate are or were when you were feeling good/normal? Checking these few things over a period of a week and plotting them down can tell you if it is involving your metabolism. I have had cold hands and feet for years. I started getting heart palpitations when I was 15. You may not have those, or you may, depending on what you call a panic attack. I suspect that I had some adrenal fatigue for years. It produces many of the symptoms you have explained. It seems like the " A " type personalities or people who are perfectionists (ME and maybe you) tend to be the ones with adrenal fatigue moe often than others. It's a lot of constant emotional stress on the body. I worried about EVERYTHING. I am also probably borderline Obsessive compulsive, if not entirely so (it's just hard to admit). Here is a really informative site that may help you decide if you may starting to suffer from adrenal fatigue. It could also be thryoid related. I just recently got diagnosed with thyroid disease. I think having two children in such a short period of time provoked it. Try not to panic. It just makes it all worse. Also, I don't know how you eat, but changing that is very important. It could also be that you have food allergies to certain things that can produce a slew of weird symptoms and conditions. All refined sugar, flour, pasta, potatoes etc... should be eliminated. Essentially a low carb diet with lots of fresh veggies, chicken, fish, and 100% whole wheat is a good way to start. I still eat pasta as a treat, but I now use whole wheat noodles (I can't even tell the difference). Anyway, here's that link:http://www.drrind.com/scorecardmatrix.asp http://www.drrind.com Email me anytime: d_timmsjosey@... > I'm reading about CFS, MS, thyroid disorder, fibromalgia, and chlamydia > bacteria on this list and I don't know if I'm becoming more of a > hypochondriac or what but I'm wondering which of all these things I have!! > > I'm 22, I get panic attacks, chest pains, have a constantly runny nose, > always feel tired, have severe sugar and salt cravings, always feeling cold, > always hungry, often nauseus however when I eat, need at least 10 hrs of > sleep a night to feel right, and have quite vivid dreams, feel nervous all > the time, worry constantly, and more... My friend and one of my sons became EXTREMELY obsessive-compulsive when their adrenals were exhausted...and it disappeared when they got strong again....my doctor said people woth " math minds " often get the OCD thing going on during adrenal fatigue...just so happens both my son and my friend are very mathmatical people - she was a mth teacher and he has a BS in Math...interesting...unless it is you it's happening to, I'm sure. Guest guest
I really wish my memory was better. I was listening to the Tesh radio show this morning and there is some Dr who has an explanation as to why your body craves sweets. Something to do with the acid or alkiline level. And he suggested which foods to eat. I thought the Drs last name was O'Reilly or something like that. Something maybe to check into. Can that be taken with Isocort? Yes, you can also take DHEA - it is another hormone precursor made by the adrenals.
