Guest guest
when Mike starts getting speeches from Dr.'s and naturopaths etc. about not consuming caffeine or the occasional splurge on junk food, he just basially tells them... " I don't drink, I don't smoke, I've got to have some vices and some sort of release " ......there was the couple of times he had a little puff of marijauna but after eating two pans of Xmas squares and hiding in the basement while company was up in the main part of the house, he decided perhaps he'd stick with coffee!!! Guest guest
One thing to remember about caffeine is that it is processed by the liver. I don't know that this makes it dangerous for people with liver disease, but liver disease can greatly increase the amount of time it takes for caffeine to be removed from the body. I read one study where they were proposing to use the rate of caffeine elimination as an indicator of liver function after liver tx. The moral of the story is that if you have liver disease you may be getting more bang for your buck when you drink coffee, because the caffeine sticks around longer. I remember the time a couple years ago when I took one nodoze and couldn't sleep for three nights straight! So if you're having trouble sleeping at night, you may find that the caffeine you're using to combat fatigue is actually making it worse! athan
Guest guest
, I think you are absolutley correct. I know that caffeine makes it more difficult to sleep. I just don't know how to function during the day. It's a nasty cycle I find myself in. I do try very hard to limit myself to one pepsi in the late am. BTW, I have a meeting with a rehabilitation specialist tomorrow. He told me to bring a resume with me if I had one. I have no current resume. I'm not bringing one. Wish I could get all this stuff wrapped up and quickly.
