Guest guest
According to the Food Companion book, 2 ounces of uncooked pasta is equal to 1 cup cooked. Four points per 1 measuring cup cooked pasta. on 6/3/03 10:51 AM, Donna Bonali at d.bonali@... wrote: > > I was wondering if one of you could please help me. Guest guest
Shirl, It depends on what has caused the hyper state. In some cases it can be controlled, reduced, corrected with medication... for others it requires partial removal of the gland.. for others it requires introduction of RAI (Radioactive Iodine) to partially or totally destroy the gland. The sooner that the cause is determined and treatment is begun, the safer. Has she had any tests done yet? For me the doc blew me off when I went in when I went from hyper into thyroid storm. By the time another doc spotted me I was in that hospital the same day, quick scan for cancer then give RAI and told that I could still drop dead because I waited too long to come in! So if she's hyper... have her find out why... or what else it could be and save her the grief that I went to. Guest guest
Some folks do take it only at night... a friend of mine does.. she's on Synthroid.. she refuses to go up against her doc... she's undermedicated and on synthetics and takes it at night.... She's VERY hypo.. all the negatives are a part of her life.... but she wont' do anything about it... It's still an individual thing.. some folks can't remember to take it in the morning... but, it seems to be that you'll get better utilization of the T3 as far as quality of life goes, if you were to take it during waking hours and not just to go to sleep....
