Guest guest
" second die-off around 3 months into the diet? " Not in the sense of the so-called flare-up...My son got ill/sick/the flu and when he started eating again we did the intro at first. Now, after about 10 days, 2 weeks he's going through a round of mild die- off. marjan mom to Nick, 7, scd since jan 18 2003
Guest guest
My son was doing really well and then started getting worse. It is a horrible feeling, but then I realized it was the three month mark. I started him on Thropps enzymes and now he is coming back. Beware, it will FREAK YOU OUT. Guest guest
Oh yes !! We just went through this too. It was scary and I started to question everything. I did end up backing up to a more basic (stage 1) diet again, gave some extra crushed garlic and some charcoal and maybe this helped. Drew did come out of it and is doing great again. For those not quite there yet....beware, and watch for this. With Adam, it was almost classic like in the book. He got a bad cold at around the 3 month point, his stools got awful. It took awhile (couple of weeks?) to come out of it. I did go back and do 2 days of almost intro foods with him, and it helped. Adam improves slowly, subtly, but definitely. Every couple of weeks I notice something " different " again... slightly more mature language, better fine motor ability. - Sue, mom to Adam (6, ASD) and (9, n/t, gut issues) SCD 4.5 months > >
Guest guest
Hi Jane, I had the three month flare (almost to the day). Going back to the intro should help to ease through it. But everyone doesn't get it. My husband or kids didn't have it.
