Guest guest
Livy had her scan this morning. This time the scan went much more smoothly. Livy was given some gas and that's it. No IV, no intubation, no waiting until she had a wet diaper to discharge us. Thank goodness! In the recovery room, Livy actually laughed and was in a good mood. took her to daycare in time for lunch and the teacher said she was having a good day. I am so grateful for everyone's kind words of support. I'll let you know what we find out about the scan results (doctor will call next week, I was told). > Hi all! Livy is scheduled for her second CT scan tomorrow morning to see whether the thumbprinting is going away. When she had her first CT scan in late November, one of the doctors saw spots on her skull where the brain was pushing up against the skull and causing holes to form on the skull. The doctor said that 9 out of 10 times, this condition resolves on its own. Please send good thoughts Livy's way for tomorrow. We hope and pray that the CT scan is performed without any problems (she will be under general anesthesia) and that the scan results are fine. We won't find out about the results until April 21st, her next appointment with this doctor. > > Otherwise, Livy is doing very well. She moves around quite a bit in her sleep now and hopefully, she will sleep comfortably on her tummy even after she stops wearing the helmet. When we ask her where her bellybutton is, she can point it out, even through a shirt. Next, we ask where her nose is and she > will stick her finger WAAAAAYYY up her nose!
