The same time I went hyper/hypo I developed something similar to cea. I

have been on tetracycline for years to control it.

reared it's head????

Anyone out there get pimples along their hairline/scalp, back, and

face (mainly forehead) when their illness started to make it's

presence??? I have had very nice skin until this whole hypothyroid

problem surfaced about 6 months ago (not to say I didn't have

hypothyroidism before, but it got really bad starting 5 or 6 months

ago. I was newly diagnosed in November). My endo (a total jerk) said

it was not from hypothyroidism. So where is it coming from then???

It's so depressing. I have to spend an hour just to cover up the zits

with make-up if I am going out (which is not often). HELP???

Suggestions? Is it related to the hypothyroidism? Thanks!!!

I had had boils in uncomfortable places -they cleared considerably

with a

low carb diet but now that i'm hypothyroid again i have had more of

them appear and refuse to heal

I think I've been subclinical hypo just about my whole life. Still get

breakouts and I'm almost 50!

I remember when I first was diagnosed with it, I new a lady who also

had it, she said that she had some sort of allergic reaction, either

to her medicine, or just her body having a reaction to her condition.

She said she broke out on her face really bad, red spots all over,

and her doctor told her to use cortizone creme.

Well a couple of years ago, I started to get these red bumps that

itched really bad, like a bunch of little pimples, on my nose and

upper cheek area. I started using cortaid on it and it totally

controlled it. I have asked doctors if it's ok for me to use

regularly and they have said it should be fine, if anything might

make it a little oily. I have used it every morning on my nose and

cheek area for a couple of years now. If I stop I do start to get the

red itchy bumps again.

So my guess is our skin does react to something that is going on in

our bodies concerning this disease.
