Guest guest
I've been meaning to post but with the kids out of school it's been hectic. She's doing great, we are already seeing an improvement and the ortho said that he thinks she won't have to wear the band as long as we thought. The only problem we have is that it's already getting into the triple digits here so she sweats a lot, which makes the band smell. She also gets what we call " the itchys " when we take off her band to clean it she scratches at her head until its red. So far we are happy with it and can't wait until she graduates. Thanks for sending the email, Liz On Tuesday, June 01, 2004, at 06:37PM, Debbie <dj2kirby@...> wrote: >Liz >How is Paige doing in her Hanger Band? >Debbie > > > > > > >For more plagio info
Guest guest
Hi Liz, Sorry to horn in on your post, but I noticed you were in Phoenix. I am as well, and when we take of 's DOC band he does the same thing with the itching and scratching. I was going to ask the orthotist about it at my next appt. but now I can scratch that off my list. Glad to know it's normal! Just out of curiosity, what temp. do you run your air at and what do you have Paige sleep in at night? Good luck to you! Guest guest
Thanks for the good update Liz. I'm sure you've tried rubbing alcohol for the smell, but being in that heat, I'm sure it's almost inevitable to get rid of the smell. A lot of babies do itch & itch while it's off. Do you notice a heat rash at all? If so, I'd put hydrocortizone cream on that area. Debbie > > > > I've been meaning to post but with the kids out of school it's been > hectic. Guest guest
We usually set the thermostat higher in the evenings because we have ceiling fans, like 78 or so. We tend to let her sleep au natural in just a diaper so she doesn't get overheated.
