kathy,

i've heard of dr. krigsman, and saw him speak at a DAN conference. what is

the benefit of having the diagnosis he gave you? is there anything he or you

can do about it now that you know what it is? i've avoided taking my son to

him because i was afraid of invasive procedures, and wasn't sure knowing what

it was would be helpful.

a, Abby was supposed to have been scoped in Atlanta in 1998 by a GI

that was going to do a " study " . She was going to get scoped and also get

secretin at the same time. He had us put her back on Gluten and everything

so he could check for problems with that. ish Rite in Atlanta scrubbed

it because they didn't see the need to scope all those kids. Anyway, to

make a long story short Abby had diarrhea from a one month old due to

antibiotics and probably the Hepatitis B shot. She became severely allergic

to breast milk(dairy in) after that and had vaginal yeast infections. She

actually started slipping into autism at 6 months old. At 9 months she had

no muscle tone at all. Anyway, she has been dairy free since a baby and

gluten free since age 3. She used to have diarrhea until the gluten came out

and severe behavior. Then shortly after at around age 4 or so she became

severely constipated. She has had it all. Food allergies, yeast,

clostridia, diarrhea, constipation, etc. etc. About a year ago she started

some really bad reflux and it just starting getting worse. My husband and I

have seen her suffer for so long we started going down to Florida to Dr.

Bradstreet and really just knew Dr. Krigsman was the way to go next. We saw

him in Florida and he said he could really help Abby. We bit the bullet

and went to Long Island during the coldest temps. they've had in 100

years!!!!Sure enough she got the UC diagnosis and also inflamed esophagus.

It was bad news but kind of a relief. My child has been irritable her whole

life, severe transition problems, some SIB and just never feels well. We

just felt the need to finally know and her samples are also in some

important studies as well. I feel 100% sure they will find the measles

virus in her tissue samples. Anyway, she is taking Sulfazalzaline now and

Prescription Prilosec and I just feel good that Dr. K. is there for us. He

is awesome and loves these kids and respects the moms and actually listens.

I am just hoping when the medication kicks in that Abby will feel better but

am doing the diet to make sure she gets better.

Sorry so long!!!!!

Thanks a, Actually the first week on it was tough but her stool color

has changed from mustard yellow with lots of undigested food to a normal

brown color. She is still somewhat constipated and always has a bottom rash

but he says the change of color is the first step. Thanks for

caring..........

Kathy

p.s be glad you are so close by to so much help.........we live in NC and

have not much of anything here!
