Guest guest
Hey Mitch, There are quite a few differences from what it seems to me. Here are some of the main ones: We have no points range, just a set number of points per day depending on your weight. Up to 155 - 18 points 156-176 - 20 points 177-198 - 22 points 199-220 - 24 points 201 and up - 26 points We also have LOADS of 0 point food. Almost all fruits and veggies are 0 points, unlimited. Some exceptions include starchy veggies (corn, beans, potatoes) and fruits like bananas, plums, dates, mangos, cherries and grapes (and a few others I think). With potatoes we can have an unlimited amount for 2 points. Do they have " starred " foods in the U.S. plan? These are things that you can have for free in limited amounts. The most you can have per day of starred items is three. After that you have to start counting them. For example, I can have 2 green olives for free. Also a teaspoon of ketchup, a tsp of cream for my coffee, a tsp of jam or jelly, 1 cup of veggie juice, a tsp of cheese, a TBS of alcohol for cooking, 1 egg white, a lump of sugar, and some others. But only a limit of three of these. So, if I have 2 cups of coffee during the day each with a lump of sugar, and a couple of olives in my salad, then any other starred item I have after that I have to count. We can save a maximum 4 points per day, either by going a few under our points to use later, or by exercising to earn points (or a combination of the two). For example, I'm at 22 points per day. It is not recommended to eat 18 AND exercise for more points. If I earn two points worth of exercise then I should eat at least 20 points. Also, four is the definite limit. I can't exercise 6 points worth, use four that day and the other two another day. Maximum four. So the most I can earn in a week is 28 points (nice to use for a nice dinner out after weigh in!) Those other two points are just something good for me. Those are the main things I can think of right now! Beth Team #5 - Gryffindor - 33 house points earned first week! 102.9 kg / 84.3 / 68 (?) 226 / 185.5 / 150 (?) Guest guest
, I'm not really sure what you mean by a checkbook register ('course I know what a check book register is, just not how that would apply). I just eat my points till I reach 22. Our system doesn't have anything like Flex Points like I've heard they might start doing in the states either.
