Hi Mike!

How is Aidan doing in his Danmar helmet, by the way? I hope he is

seeing some good improvement!!

Remy never had a helmet or band, and she started walking at 9

months, so it was wipe-out city for a while there! She seemed to

remember when she had a wipe-out in a certain area, but it never

stopped her from trying out new manuevers in new locations,

unfortunately. We had pillows, cushions, padding, etc. everywhere

because we just couldn't reason with a mobile 9 month old.

When will your son be graduating from his helmet? Would you refresh

my memory on how old Aidan is? Please let us know how the post-

helmet challenge goes, perhaps some other parents will find your

tips very useful!

Take care,

Christie (Mom to Repo'd Remy)

Hi Mike,

My Hannah had four months off between helmets #2 and #3 starting at

11 mos. She was walking then and quickly figured out that she

didn't have that protection anymore. WHen crawling she'd actually

push doors open with a swift bang of the head, but it only took a

few times before she learned she couldn't just crawl into them

anymore. It took her the longest to remember that she had a

forehead when pulling up on the coffee table, etc. She'd always be

too close and bang her forehead. There may be some extra bumps and

bruises at first, but Aidan will get used to it! When does he

graduate?

Hello Mike

My daughter WIllow was in her band for only 10wks so at the end she

started hitting toys with her head, but nothing major. WHen she

graduated I don't recall her insisting on this banging toys. I

remember she did it once without and cried. Never did it again.

Hopefully Aiden will not do it too much after.

Hi Christie,

Little Aidan is now over 9 months old. His head is rounding out

nicely. He should be graduating around his birthday, 8/12.

Overall, we are pleased with the Danmar helmet. The only problem is

that his his head and the helmet smell less than spring time fresh.

But if that is the only thing I have to complain about, I guess things

are going pretty good.

We are hoping that he doesn't have to get another helmet before he

graduates.
