Guest guest
Hi there! I had my Lap RNY on 6/7/05. I started out two weeks prior to that at 312 pounds (I'm 5'5 " ). My weight loss seemed to be awfully fast - I was even starting to feel guilty at support group meetings. At least I think I know why now. As of now, I weigh 168. Not quite two weeks ago, I ended up in the emergency room with an obstructed bowel. Turns out that my original " Y " had a defect - probably dating back to my original surgery. At the time of my obstruction, my " Y " had twisted itself and flipped over to the other side of my stomach. They ended up removing that completely, and building a new one for me, further down to avoid the scar tissue. Has anyone here had this happen to them? I am really hoping to find others, and to learn more about what the future may hold for me. I'll be honest, I have real concerns about the things I have heard about revisions. I could really use some reassurance! Thanks so much, and I look forward to " meeting " some of you here!
