Guest guest
Hi I have just came back form my neph. She told me that there is still no reason to worry, that 1,1 serum creatinine is still fine and even with plenty of blood in urine my kidney function is OK. I was prescribed ACE inhibitor called Prestarium ( perindoprilum), it's made in France. I wonder if any if you is familiar to that brand. I should also watch salt intake more form now, take fish oil pills plus my low antigenic diet. I have to go the hospital once more this week for some additional tests. They are very, very sophisticated and are related with some medical research my neph is doing ( I am just one person in her programme) Every time I see my neph she askes me about my son's urine tests. Radek is 16 now, after some kind of strep infection he had microhematuria in his urine for some weeks. All is fine now, but she ordered me to do him urine check every 3 months. I do hope he will not inherit IGAN after me ...but to all of us who are parents, please do be careful about the kids ....and just do urine test from time to time... In my country generally every kid have blood and urine tests done at least once a year....but I don't know if it's routine all over the world. All the best, Elvira
