Guest guest
Hi & welcome: Too bad your sister doesn't live closer huh?! Usually your baby's ped would dx both plagio & tort then refer you elsewhere for treatment of both. Has your ped mentioned the plagio or tort to you yet? If not & you're concerned, I'd suggest calling your office for an appt soon to be evaluated. You're often referred to a Phys. Therapist for torticollis to do stretches & exercises. For tort info you can go to http://torticollis.org Many of our members here are familiar w/tort and will help you. For plagio info http://plagiocephaly.org In the mean time, check out all our info in both our FILES & LINKS sections for a lot of helpful information. Good luck, keep us posted. Guest guest
Hi , Welcome to the group. I'm not too familiar with tort, but many of our members are and I'm sure will chime in. Have you looked at the severity assessment graphs in our links section? What a great asset you have in your sister! Your ped can diagnose plagio, but many refer out to craniofacial or neurosurgeons. We also live in Mass and went to Children's Hospital to see a ped neuro. We use CT in Conn for treatment. You can go for a free consult and they'll also give you an honest opinion as to whether Maeve (I love that name by the way!) would benefit from a band. Repoing her will be quite the challenge w/her tort! I hope your ped is well educated with tort and plagio. Good luck. Please let us know how her appt goes. , mom to Hannah, DOCgrad Cape Cod, Ma --- In Plagiocephaly , " R. " <erin.ryan@a...> wrote: > Hi, > > I very glad that I found this group.
