Caprine Estates goat milk will ship directly to you. Their goat

milk tastes the most like cow's milk I think. They are in Ohio.

They have some sort of special deal if you go on their 6qt every 2

weeks automatic shipment plan. I need to call them myself to

get the details on this, but you could call them as well.

Their website is http://www.caprineestates.com

There is also a place in Texas that ships goat's milk, goat butter

and goat DCCC.

As for making the yogurt sweeter, you can add whatever you want

after the whole yogurt making process is over. You can mix in

honey, fruit, " granola " (SCD) or anything else you might like in

yogurt.

The powdered goat milk is legal..... there are other parents here who use

it..... although fresh milk might be ideal. You might want to call a local 4-H

club in your area..... or rural outskirts, if you're in an urban area..... to

find a small local goat farm that would be willing to sell milk to you.

I'm new to this group and I wonder if someone could give me

some advice. Although my son has been on the diet for the

better part of 3 years, I have never made goats milk yogurt

and I would like to give it a try. All I can find in the

health food stores in my area is powdered goats milk. Is

this legal and if not where can I get legal goats milk?

Also, do you sweeten the yogurt to make it taste better?

> Patti,

I asked at my HFS if they could get goat's milk for me...they could.

So, you might try asking at your local HFS. I had to wait a week,

but she was able to get it for me, $6.95 per 2 qt size. I made to

goat's milk yogurt. It was the BEST yogurt I had ever had. I dripped

half of it. I tried several of the recipes on the website and in the

book. I also made Tzasiki sauce for me and my husband, smoothies for

me & my daughter. I tried to get my ASD son to try it...he said he

didn't like it. I am going to keep trying.
