Guest guest
You're right. I just wish I knew how much *cooked* pasta, in ounces, = 4 points. That way I could just weigh the cooked spagetti or penne or whatever and know for sure. But I guess I'll just have to think ahead and weigh it before cooking! Judy R. Re: Question Judy, I think it was today that told me that 2 ounces of dry pasta = 1 cup cooked = 4 pts. Donna
Guest guest
yeah.......after you've measured your one cup serving, put it on your scale and see how much it weighs? that way you'd know for sure. Guest guest
How many activity points am I allowed to use each day? Reason I ask is because for the first time since I've been following the WW Points, I overate on my points yesterday by 15. I did 5 activity points worth of cardio last night and planned to reduce my points eaten today and tomorrow by 5 which will total the 15 - will that make up for my overdo? I eat between 22-27 pts. per day and I have always eaten the full 27 each day since I began, so dropping points by 5 today and tomorrow would put me at 22 points to eat, so I wouldn't be undereating. Will this make up for my big booboo? ~donna~
Guest guest
" Is it helpful me telling you what happens in English WW? " Jean Jean.....it's better than not getting told anything at all! hahaha Thanks! Guest guest
I believe she goes in tomorrow to find out about her tests. Then we can go from there. If she's hyper I'll forward this e-mail on to her and also the site that sent. On another subject,my cousin who came down for my sis's funeral stayed the night with my sister Barb, she has Shojren's(spelling)(my cousin has this)and I take it Thyroid disease and told Barb she should only take her Armour at night!Don't know what kind of thyroid med's Rosie is on,BUT this just does not sound right.I take my last dose before I go to bed,BUT your thyroid does'nt work just at night.I advised my sister against this.... Was I right in doing so? Shirley Re: Question Shirl, It depends on what has caused the hyper state. In some cases it can be controlled, reduced, corrected with medication... for others it requires partial removal of the gland.. for others it requires introduction of RAI (Radioactive Iodine) to partially or totally destroy the gland. The sooner that the cause is determined and treatment is begun, the safer. Has she had any tests done yet? For me the doc blew me off when I went in when I went from hyper into thyroid storm. By the time another doc spotted me I was in that hospital the same day, quick scan for cancer then give RAI and told that I could still drop dead because I waited too long to come in! So if she's hyper... have her find out why... or what else it could be and save her the grief that I went to. My son's girlfriend may be, Shirley, one thing this group can give you is what she DOESN'T want to do, because in America, docs will surely suggest it.
