Guest guest
Sounds like you are on a tough road. I, as many others in this group, have been on the same road. In my case, I was transplanted in 1993 and again in 1999. My underliying condition is PSC. Something that was helpful, especially my wife, was a face-to-face support group. The one we were involved with was sponsored by the American Liver Foundation. There are others, such as those run by hospitals that perform transplant surgery. Most of the information in these groups will be related to Hepitius C, but dealing with liver failure is the same independent of the reason for the failure. A National Directory of Hepatitis Information was prepared a few years ago under a contract with CDC. I have the section on Organization Information and Services in an Access 2000 database (1.22 Mb). Unfortunately, there are no services listed in the Stockton area. If you or any one else would like a copy, I would be happy to forward one. There is no copyright notice in the book, so it is for open distribution. Guest guest
We actually live in Southern California. We have been attending a support group at the VA Hospital in Loma and it has been helpful. So far there is only one other person with PSC. Most have either Hep C. We are finding it helpful reading through the archives knowing that we aren't alone in this battle. Thanks for the information.
