Guest guest
I have found that the Namastefoods pizza crust has been wonderful. It will make 2 14 inch pizzas or I made 10 personal pan pizzas out of it. It is free of a lot of the allergens. My son loved it more than the pizza we got at the pizza place even! He begged me to share one with our Celiac for lunch even! This Pizza Crust is wheat, gluten, dairy, corn, potato and soy free according to their website. It also says you can make 8 mini pizzas but I was able to get 10. Also I froze them and kept them in the freezer for our little one. She loved them and ate them up! Also she loved helping make them. When I bought them, we baked them directly on the oven rack in a pre-heated oven, and they were really DREADFUL - rubbery crust, sauce tasteless, and not nearly enough cheese to cover the top. Also, I think some companies produce goods differently for different sales regions; where were yours bought? We shop in northern California. Guest guest
These seem so expensive to me, after shipping it's $40 for 3 pizzas. I wonder how they taste... the picture looks really yummy! We keep Amy's pizzas in the freezer since they're available locally at both the health food store and Whole Foods... I just add some pepperoni and pop them on my pizza stone and it feels like the good old days of not having to stress over every meal. julie > > Hmm, this sounds good to keep in the freezer for my teenager. Guest guest
I live in GA. The crust came out crispy. Before GF, I prefered deep dish but this crust was very good. We did have to add more of our own cheese. I baked mine on a Pampered Chef's pizza baking stone. Guest guest
We buy this as well, and have never had the results you talk about. We use a cookie sheet for ours, though. And I find that I have to bake it a little longer than indicated on the box, but I keep checking the bottom of the crust to be sure it doesn't burn. ________________________________ From: marcianar@... Guest guest
Do you make the whole pizza (sauce, cheese, etc...) or do you just make the crusts and freeze those? Do you bake the crusts and then freeze them? How long do you have to bake them for after they've been frozen? ________________________________ From: Marvin and Bjorge Sent: Fri 11/19/2004 12:43 PM To: SillyYaks Subject: RE: Re: Gluten Free Pizza I have found that the Namastefoods pizza crust has been wonderful. Guest guest
The one I made into a regular pizza was baked and ate the same day. The second one I fixed and baked the crust for the initial time like it says on the box. Then I topped the pizzas and froze them when I made the individual sized. The cheese and toppings were not baked until they were defrosted and heated for her meal.
