Guest guest
Has anyone used W. Coast Brace and Limb for their child's 'cranial helmet'? We are going Tuesday for . He'll be 9 mos. on 3/24. I feel like we're losing precious time, so I don't feel like I have much time to research other facilities or go to Miami for the DOC, etc. I'm really concerned about making a poor decision about his treatment and squeezed for time. Wishing I could turn back the clock...if I knew then what I know now. But I'm sure some of you have been where we are now...anxious. Guest guest
They are in our database but I'm not sure if we have a current member using them. Will be receiving a Starband? Have you already interviewed his orthotist? (I apologize if you have previously posted about this). Natasha > Has anyone used W. Coast Brace and Limb for their child's 'cranial > helmet'? Guest guest
Hi Kim, We have them listed in our helmet/band database. We don't have any contacts for them. Did you interview the orthotist? How many babies has he/she treated? Experience is a MUST when it comes to these bands. In the wrong, inexperienced hands they can and do cause more harm. Please ask your ortho how many plagio babies he/she has treated. Ask for before and after pictures of babies he/she has treated and ask for references. You don't need to feel so pressed for time, your son is still at a great age to received excellent correction from an experienced ortho. My fingers are crossed that your ortho has tons of experience! Keep us posted. > Has anyone used W. Coast Brace and Limb for their child's 'cranial > helmet'? We are going Tuesday for . Guest guest
Hi Kim, My son Josh was just received the Starband from Kast Orthotics in Clearwater. We had an appointment with West Coast B & L but our Neurosurgen recommended Kast. The Starband is very similar to the Doc Band. The Starband is made by Orthomerica. (Check the website at www.orthomerica.com)All of the staff is extremely helpful and most of all supportive! Hope this helps, Lena Emens - -- In Plagiocephaly , " krlang1 " <krlang1@y...> wrote: > Has anyone used W. Coast Brace and Limb for their child's 'cranial > helmet'? We are going Tuesday for .
