Guest guest
For a wealth of information on all elements of safe patient handling and mobility, including lift teams, check the web site of the Patient Safety Center of the Tampa VA http://www.visn8.med.va.gov/patientsafetycenter/ Also Tampa General Hospital has used a lift team model for quite awhile. It is managed by a physical therapist, Manon Short, and she should have quite a bit of information, mshort@... Good luck! Kathleen Rockefeller, PT, ScD, MPH Assistant Professor School of Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Science Tampa FL mobility aides/techs Do any of you have or know others who have these types of jobs in the hospital setting. I've heard different titles but essentially they assist Nursing and/or Therapy to mobilize patients. I've heard of some models that use a " Lift Team " . Info on these two subjects (Lift Teams and Mobility Aides) would be much appreciated. Info on models, successes, barriers, outcomes from having this position, job descriptions, etc. Thanks in advance!
