Confused about the side of the closure..

What side should the band close on? My daughter has mild right side

plagio, but it looks now more like bracy, and her closure is on the

right side. Is that right? How does it get determined?

Most bands, especially DOCbands, have the velcro closure on the flat

side, so it sounds like your's is correct.

Her right or your right when you put it on?

Colin's head is the same as your daughter's but his (STARband)

closure is on *his* left side. I'll ask our ortho next Tuesday but I

don't see a problem with it being there. If you find out anything

from your ortho please let us know.

My son wore a Starband for right side plagio and the velcro closure

was on his left side. I asked before the helmet was made if the

closure could be on his right side so that he'd be more likely to

sleep with his head turned left (which he hates due to torticollis)

but the orthotist said no they always put the opening opposite the

side that needs work.
