Guest guest
Hello: I was just diagnosed Iga-nephropathy (initial phase). I'm 36, mother of 2, Math teacher and my native language is Spanish (I don't know if this brief description is necessary, but is the first time I use internet with people different than my relatives/friends). Everything started 5 months ago with a step throat, then macrohematuria; I had many blood exams, one renal ultrasound, a pelvic catscan, and finally the renal biopsy. Now I'm feeling better because they found the reason of the persistent microhematuria. My nephrologyst prescribed fish oil tablets, but she didn't change any of my nutrition habits (my cholesterol and blood pressure look fine). I had read Iga is a long-term sickness (it takes 10-30 years to get the final phase), I wonder if you want to share your own experiences. Do you have any special diet? I'm not sure I can be vegetarian but if I have to, I'll try it. After the episode of step throat, I had been felt more tired, specially in easy activities: cooking, doing vacuum, going upstairs and downstairs (my house is 4 levels), etc. Is this related to the Iga? At the end of the day, I can feel the discomfort under my ribs or some times in my back. Is it because the Iga? Thanks for all your support. Sincerely, Liliana
