Guest guest
What ingredients could you use, and I'll think on this. I made banana popsicles that turned out to be a BIG hit around here, but I'm thinking bananas are no no for you? in NC, USA mom to Luke, 5, Asperger's/salicylate intolerant/diarrhea pre-SCD; , 3, healthy;,19mos,healthy; SCD going since 1/26/04 5 months on SCD/ ? on advancing diet/ nut yogurt snacks/ need help > Hi everyone, > My son is at the 5 month mark on SCD. I would have to use veg glyc or sweet and low to sweeten, could use pear sause as an ingredient. I think the fact that I don't think he's ready for nut butters yet is the big problem, I have no glue to hold ingredients together! I think maybe the ice cream idea and doing it in a maker like Marjan said might be an idea and use the pure vanilla extract and try for a vanilla ice cream? What kind of vanilla do you use? Maybe he could tolerate the cashew cream in the future and I could make something out of that. Ideas welcome. I have read the recipe page on pecanbread so many times and I'm stumped on how to proceed, thanks, Val
Guest guest
Val, I don't know if they fit into the salicylate category, but loves avocados. Guest guest
just had another thought, I wonder if you dripped the yogurt to get it real thick and then mixed it with veg glyc and vanilla whether if would be thick enough to freeze a little cookie or ball out of? Can the yogurt be made that thick? Val
Guest guest
This is what I do, but I add peanut butter or fruit. I don't see why just adding vanilla and sweetener wouldn't work. Try it! Would have a yummy nutty taste, I'd bet, using nut yogurt. Or does that come through? I don't even know! in NC Mom of Luke, age 5, Asperger's/salicylate intolerant/diarrhea pre-SCD; , age 3, healthy; and , 19 mos, healthy All SCD since 1/26/04 Re: 5 months on SCD/ ? on advancing diet/ nut yogurt snacks/ need help just had another thought, I wonder if you dripped the yogurt to get it real thick and then mixed it with veg glyc and vanilla whether if would be thick enough to freeze a little cookie or ball out of?
