Guest guest
Hi guys. I would also like to join in the fight for awareness. I am fairly new to this group and this whole situation, so I was hoping I could get some direction as to what to do next. Is there somewhere I can get some info to pass along? What would you all suggest?? Kate ~ you mentionned a petition from this site. Where would I find such a thing?? Thanks a bunch..lets get the word out. Someone is BOUND to hear us! Guest guest
Kate, I am especially interested to hear how receptive the daycare facility is to your plagio information campaign. As a successful repo'er, I know that it can be difficult to count on repositioning compliance while the babies are at daycare... they might be using bouncies and swings, I'm not really sure, but use of these devices can really hamper repo efforts, and may even cause/encourage development of plagio! Would you let me know if they have an area set aside for tummy time in the infant room, and if they have ever heard of the bumbo baby seat www.bumbobabyseat.com ? There are a lot of other neat repo and tummy time products linked here in the links/repo and tummy time/ repo and tummy time products folder if you observe that the daycare might need some ideas! Good luck, Christie (Mom to Repo'd Remy) > Hi! Just wanted to share that I too am joining the " big fight " to > raise awareness for plagiocephaly and torticollis. Guest guest
Kate, I am so glad to hear about your campaign as well! I didn't even realize that I should be hitting up daycares in my little fight, so thanks for pointing that one out! I know a gal that works in a daycare, so I'll be sure to speak w/ her when I have time. Good luck! ~Amy, mommy to Jaden 6 mo's MN, plagio/mild tort, started CranioCap 4/23/04 > > Hi! Guest guest
Hi Kate, I too am happy to hear about your fight for awareness... any little bit helps! Just as Amy said her post, I didn't think of daycares either.. DUH!! Jaxson goes to a daycare for a few hours a week and I didn't even think of it. LOL.. gawl, I'm smart. lol I know my daycare provider will bring it to the director that overseas all the daycares in this part of MN so on Monday I'm going to give her a packet of info from CT as well. You go girl!!! Best of luck in your fight! Kim > > Hi! Just wanted to share that I too am joining the " big fight " to > > raise awareness for plagiocephaly and torticollis.
