Guest guest
I grew up on grape " Hi C " . Permanent purple mustache on my upper lip. I don't ever remember being given a piece of fruit (still trying to learn to like fruit). My dad and I shared frozen pizzas once I got older. I taught myself to cook when I went away to college, plus went to school to be a home economics teacher, so had many foods classes for that. How do you eat veggies without Velveeta cheese food. <g> Jen > LOL! Oh, Jen, you wouldn't believe what I grew up on...Tang for breakfast with bowls of Captain Crunch. Twinkies and peanut butter sandwiches for lunch and more sweetened fruit drink. (Peanut butter sandwiches are okay, but the twinkies..eh...) More twinkies, or cookies, when I got home from school. Then a " regular " dinner. Then more cookies etc. after dinner for dessert...and more Tang or kool- aid....no wonder I am having such a hard time weaning myself away from sugar - it constituted 90% of my diet growing up! Guest guest
Oh my goodness, , how do you handle all of those children? I know they are a blessing, but children are a lot of work, too, right? I've never had kids, but when I've babysat for toddlers, even just one toddler at a time, I go home more exhausted than I ever felt even when I was in Army Basic Training. I can't help but wonder how on earth Moms cope with many small children at once. That Moms must be superhuman. Gentle
Guest guest
, It may depend on which peanut butter you are eating.... Some of them are highly sweetened to " enhance " the taste. Sara Lee and Pan are more sweetened than others. I use Skippy because it isn't sweet to the taste. I didn't think it would make a difference, so I bought the Pan (on a great sale at the time). it even tasted too sweet. ly, I don't like sweet peanut butter, so I got rid of it and went back to Skippy. When I want to " munch " but not eat a meal, I sometimes grab a big spoonful of Skippy to hold me over until meal time.
