Oh my dear , bless your heart! Sweetie, you got a lot going on, my heart

goes out to you!! Glad to hear FIL is doing well... Sending lots of prayers your

way as well as for your FIL, grandma, & the sweet girl in your church. May the

lord bring peace & strength to all concerned.........Take care, Barb :)

It has been an incredibly busy week!! I hope you are all well. I

have missed you all!! So here is what is going on.

My FIL's surgery went well and he is doing well. Thank you God!! The

drive home from Phoenix was killer!! I was able to find a Starbucks

in Phoenix and had Café Mocha with 4 shots of espresso!!! LOL I was

doing well for at least 3 ½ hours of the ride home!!

There is a 17-year-old girl at my church who was diagnosed with

leukemia (a very aggressive strand) this past week. The church has

been rallying around their family and I have been busy scheduling

meals for them. They will have a meal every other day for the next

2 months!! I hope it helps!!

I had a funeral today that I had to gather food for.

And the topper……… my 95-year-old grandmother is dying. She lives in

a little town in Kansas. So I might be flying to Kansas next week to

attend her funeral. I just hope she goes painlessly. She has had an

incredible life and is an amazing woman!!!!!! She has not been

herself for the past 5 years and it is a blessing that she is going

home to the Lord.

I haven't had time or the energy to catch up on post this week. I

just wanted you all to know I am here and things are okay AND that I

will try to touch on some of the post that I did miss this week.

Hugs!!!

hi heather,

girl, that is too much to have going on all at once. glad you are back. i'm

laughing about the starbuck's. i stopped last week and got a tall white

chocolate mocha and OH LORD it had whip cream floatin on top...i'm not a

coffee drinker so it can't taste like reg coffee and i don't want anything

chilled...any ideas on a good drink? i don't know an espresso from a latte

etc etc...i'm clueless !!

i was a mystery shopper for them and that is how i know about that one drink

- it was required to order that exact one. it is yummy though.

Darcy,

LOL I like that!! " " Mad skinny woman " " :) it is better than being

overweight and tired on top of things!! It is so much easier to set

up for funerals at church and to run around and do things.

I'm leaving for Kansas on Saturday. My Grandma died today. I'll fly

for the first time since hitting this weight. Last time I flew I was

around 220 - 230 lbs. It will be interesting.

I've missed you!! I hope all is well with you.

  • 2 weeks later...

I'm doing well. I'm not sure how much I've lost but I'm guessing it's

about 15-20 lbs. I'm scrambling to keep up with the changes in waist

sizes and old clothing I used to wear on the way up in weight. I'm

getting very bored with the liquid post-op diet. I can't wait to have

cottage cheese and yogurt next week.

Thanks to everyone in the group for the prayers and thoughts. I've

got a lot of energy now and am really happy I've had this done.
