Congrats on the surgery date, that is the day after i had mine almost a year

ago.Wow, i know you are really excited , not much i can say to calm you down, it

is much to exciting, good for you. you are in my prayers.

Shauna,

You will do great! The nerves are normal, especially since you are about to

change your life forever. Once I got my approval I was able to get a date

quickly also. It was ok because I had been researching so long I knew that what

I was doing was the best thing I could do for myself and my family.

I keep reading that you can't wait to run with the kids. Thats what I wanted to

do with the grandbaby (she was born a month after my surger) and by when she was

able to run, I was right there going after her! The other good thing is that I

can get on the floor and play with her and not worry about getting back up.

Shauna,

I have my surgery the same day you have yours. And Im a bit nervous

too. Like you said once the date is set then it seems more " real " .

But I have my fiancee going with me and my pastor and 2 friends also

going to be there while I have the surgery. I just wanted to let you

know you arent alone on being nervous. But Im sure everything will

turn out fine for both of us.

I also look forward to sharing this experience with you and

keeping everyone in the group updated. I just recently joined but I

can already tell that everyone here is very supportive. And thats

what I need especially now with surgery just 4 days away. I will be

getting out of the hospital on Saturday, and hopefully... depending

on how I feel, going to church on Sunday. I have my pastor, his wife,

2 friends from church and my fiancee who are all gonna be there for

me while I have my surgery. So I know there will be alot of people

praying for me so I know everything will come out fine. My mom is a

little upset because her job in Pennsylvania is keeping her from

being there during the surgery.

Depending on how things go, Ill probably log on Monday to update

everyone. If I dont feel up to it Ill have my fiancee give everyone a

heads up. Im so glad I have a group like this to talk to.

Is anyone ever in the chat room? Is there a certain time people

gather to chat? Well thats it for now.

Depending on how things go, Ill probably log on Monday to update

everyone. If I dont feel up to it Ill have my fiancee give everyone a

heads up. Im so glad I have a group like this to talk to.
