Of course, I could also get " car sick " when not in the car when my blood sugar dropped..LOL

I just read something that might explain why I am better. I keep forgetting that I am taking adrenal glandulars too and so am getting more cortisol to help me...this particular good effect is from the adrenal glandulars I'll bet, after reading this.. The individual differences in the salivary cortisol levels constitute space motion sickness warning signs. Motion sickness produces a variety of autonomic consequences including salivation, gastric stasis & changed EGG. There were large individual differences in cortisol response and these individual differences were related to motion sickness susceptibility where higher motion resistance related to greater cortisol response. The latter finding is consistent with the findings of Kohl. In other types of sickness such as the nausea and vomiting induced by emetogenic cancer chemotherapy with cisplatin, adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) treatment which induces cortisol release, has been shown to be effective in reducing nausea and vomiting. There is evidence that corticosteroids may reduce nausea and vomiting due to hyperemesis gravidarum in pregnancy and reduce postoperative nausea and vomiting. Lower baseline cortisol has been reported to predict those patients most likely to suffer nausea and vomiting with cisplatin treatment and higher cortisol to predict greater resistance against such nausea and vomiting. Thus the possibility exists that cortisol although seen as a stress response may be acting also in a protective manner in motion sickness and other types of sickness. Guest guest
Okay, now I need to know more about this thread. When my thyroid first went haywire I began having problems with vertigo. My doc told me it was an inner ear virus. It has come and go over the last 15 years. It reared it's ugly head last week after four different plane rides. I used to be able to ride roller coasters, etc., now I feel like it would make me sick. Are you now telling me this is related to hypothyroidism also? Jen -- Re: P.S. Another benefit of thyroid meds?
