Guest guest
ok guys remember when i posted to see if anyone had heard of " imagine " well i finally found it!(damn this rsd memory loss), i still have no idea where i got it from maybe the redhope site but anyway, I want to share it with yall. I am in no way trying to take credit for it so if anyone knows who wrote it please give cresit where credit is due. This reduced me to tears it just explains the personal side of rsd so well not just the clinical side, and the ending shows exactly what most of us feel when we are finally diagnosed, relieved then very depressed and confused here it is: Imagine..... Imagine learning that within every second of every day, for the rest of your life you will be in pain. You will not sleep another full night as long as you live. No longer being able to do simple things without being in lots of pain. Not being able to continue to work, and fighting off depression for the rest of your life. Something that no one can see, no one can seem to understand, not even Doctors. You go from Doctor to Doctor to Doctor and try various things, and still you know you still don't have the proper diagnosis. You spend your days going from therapy to therapy, X- rays, nerve studies, injections, pills and more pills, and nothing seems to help. Your limb starts to turn blue, swells to double it's size, you find blood clots you can see on the surface of the skin, it hurts so bad you want to scream. A single accident as small as spraining your wrist is all it takes. Tests come out negative, everyone starts to doubt you, even your family. The doctors start telling you that it is all in your head. Then you find a Doctor that knows.............he tells you that you have RSD............for the rest of your life. And he doesn't know how to help you. Isn't that so true? I love it I have showed it to my family and friends to try and help explain why this condition is so devestating. So let me know what you guys think and if the author is out there I would love to talk with you! Keep on keeping on mandi
