Hi Tina!!

Welcome to the group!!!! Congratulations on your surgery date!! I'm

. I'm 36 and have a hubby and 2 boys 7 & 3. I would try

Vitalady.com for your protein drinks. They send out samples for a

small fee. My surgeon had me on HMR shakes for 4 weeks after surgery.

LOL after that I never wanted to see another HMR shake again!!! I was

doing the premade atkins shakes but I haven't been able to find these

lately so I went to Trader Joes and bought their protein shake mix and

will try that this week. I up about 3 lbs over the last 2 months plus

I want to lose another 10 so I'm going back to basics the next 2

months and hopefully I'll get it off!! :) If you have any questions or

just need a shoulder to lean on we are here for you!!!!

Hugs!!!

Hi Tina --

Are you going to be on protein/meal replacements for a while after surgery

)liquids only?) I work for Dr Oliak in Orange, CA. We recommend the

Nutrirecipes. Although they are not the best tasting, they are a complete meal

replacement, and you only need 3 shakes a day to get all your RDA's. And

believe me, when you have a pouch that's about 1/2 an ounce, qty throughout the

day means a lot. You can purchase the nutrirecipes from bariatricadvantage.com

But (if the shakes are to be your only 'food' after surgery) remember,

whatever protein shake you decide to try (try vitalady.com she has several

options and will send/sell trial packs so you can try) make sure it is a meal

replacement and not just a supplement. You need to make sure you get your

protein, but you also need the rest of your vitamins and minerals to remain

healthy.

blessings to you!
