Guest guest
Hi all, For those of you that don't know, I work from my home as a claim processor. It has it's advantages, but several disadvantages. I at first had Jax in daycare but with all the appointments and such, it didn't pay to keep him in - I was paying weekly almost what I ended up making. My decision to take him out of daycare was a tough one, since then I have very little time to actually work. He can not sit up for longer than 10 seconds on his own (so I cant let him play like that on his own) and EVERY time he goes on his back he flips to his tummy and then freaks out. I really thought that after 6 months months of therapy he would be much better on his belly. I have a baby boppy that he has used for a few seconds but he really hates the belly. I have put toys there for him, balls, rattles, ANYTHING. So, for those of you well past this stage, what else can I do? I can not walk away or even work for a good solid 10 minutes. He is also falling onto his belly in the night (sleeps on his side) and then wakes up, freaks out until I go get him and hug him. I think this week has caused me to get a few gray hairs... shocking to see that my hair wasn't ALL Gray this am... dreamnt that it was. Guest guest
Kim, this must so frustrating for you. Are you using a wedge type thing in his crib to keep him on his side? As far as playtime, does he play at your feet while your working or is he in another room? Maybe he just doesn't like to be alone? I'm really sorry to hear this. I hope it gets better for you and Jaxson. Dustie --- In Plagiocephaly , " kasaint_2 " <kasaint_2@y...> wrote: > Hi all, > For those of you that don't know, I work from my home as a claim > processor. Guest guest
Kim, Sorry you are having such a tough week, but it will get better! Can Jax go in a saucer or jumper? Maybe you could hire a mother's helper a few hours a day like a teenager who would just be happy to hang out and play with him for awhile. It certainly would be cheaper than daycare and you could get something done.
