Guest guest
>My goodness Kari..... It is warmer in Michigan ! >You stay snug there by the fire! Well, I didn't light the fire because it's heated up to 51 degrees already (9:40 am). The storm we just had is over Arizona and some over Colorado, so I know it's cold there, and the one we had over the weekend is nearing the east coast so you guys be ready for a cold Alaskan storm! I has no control of de weather! It's 44 degrees here right now so I'm hoping we will have a much warmer day today... although I have to admit, I loved the dark clouds, snow, rain and seeing your breath when you breath outside... It's just with the electrical " SHORTAGES " (yeah RIGHT!) and the fact that my gas rates got increased, it was hard to keep warm... the fireplace is in the very front of my house in the room where nobody sits... the room where my computer is doesn't feel the warmth from the fireplace unless we've kept it scorching all day. Guest guest
I forgive you Kari. I know you can't control the weather. My computer is in the basement, no heat. BRRRR!!!. This morning I awoke to -6 BRRR!!! 44 would have been nice. Ah well. To live in Maine is to freeze in Maine. Guest guest
Hi , I was reading your message to Deb and I just had to respond. Hope you don't mind. You probably said that you did not have health insurance in a previous message but I don't remember it. I will blame it on the limbic system, ok. Anyway, I was wondering whether you have checked into some of the programs that the companies that make the meds have to offer. I know some people who are either getting their meds at a reduced price from the company itself. Also I believe that if you fit into their category for free meds, they do that too. I am just mentioning this in case you have not tried it. It is so hard to be without meds with RSD. Even if you can just get a pain pill or an anti-depressant it would be good. Let me know, ok. Take care and you are in my prayers. Hugs, babs Re: Weather I wonder if I am just having a flare or if it is truly the weather? My feet are colder than ice and I ache everywhere. Does anyone else feel this way recently? Hi Deb, I know just what you are talking about. I am behind because of being gone w/my brother and other things here but I have been done on a bad pain flare here too. Here in Chicago area we have been in the low 30's at night and just in the 50's during the days last week. Yesterday it did get into the low 60's here but I was still freezing. I also feel like someone has been squeezing the living daylights out of my arms for the past 4 months or so, which only seems to make things worse. The Dr's don't seem to understand and just look at me like I'm crazy. When asked what hurts, I just tell them everything, but the arms hurt the worst. And now with out medical insurance of any kind, prescriptions are very pricey and pain killers at couple hundred for 30 day supply, will have to take a back seat to Bills insulin. No contest.Soft huggs,
Guest guest
, saw you take the Effexor and I also take it. I was taking 150 each day but messed up the intestines so much now down to 75. I did not think it helped alot but stopped it for few days and found out it does help some. Not alot but I will take some help. Hope you are doing well and Marie, how do you wear socks on you feet, especially 2 pair and it not hurt them assumming rsd is in your feet. Glad your able to do so and keep your feet warm just wonder why it does not make them hurt worse. Take care all s Momma JoAnn Re: Weather Deb,I most definitely feel that way. I haven't gotten much sleep for a couple of days now. And that is even though I am staying in the house. Yes, with the heat on already!I have grown to hate the winter and now get to include seasonal disorder along with the RSD and fibro. I wish I could afford to move to a warmer climate. But then, I could never leave my grandchildren and move far away.Hope you have some pain-free minutes today. At least, in the Boston area, we have sunshine and relatively warm weather today.Hugs to all,Marie>

Hi Babs, No I haven't checked into any of these programs that you are talking about. I guess one of the reasons is because I don't know what programs you are talking about. I have never been without insurance. When Bill lost his job in the early 90's, he took just any job to get by, then this job he has now, I just went out there and worked and found something that provided insurance, but now this and it's getting a little more difficult w/both of us not what you would call first choice for insurance companies with his diabeties and previous heart attack and all and me, with RSD, thyroid, high blood pressure, now the cholesterol thing, etc. I think my eyes and ears are quiting on me too! If you have names of these programs, could you send me the info. Gotta find ways to afford our meds. Hubby's are most important. Tonia sent me a web site for an insurance company she said was suppose to be reasonable. Gotta look into that one and another one that a nurse from the clinic gave me to try. I looked into Blue/Cross. But I just don't think I can pull that one just at this time. Thanks for anything you can find. Huggs,
Guest guest
Hi , I certainly will check on this and write you back. I can only imagine what you are going through without insurance. Meds are so expensive. I will get back to you, I promise. Take care and I will keep you and your husband in my prayers.
