Guest guest
Happy New Year to everyone! Does anyone know of support group meetings available in the north Dallas, Texas area? I am plateauing after 5 months out of surgery. I have had a 70 lb. weight loss but feel like I am behind what other people lose at this point. I have 40 lbs. to go to reach my goal. I am needing some advice/support/motivation. thanks for these postings - they are so helpful! Carol
Guest guest
Carol, You are doing great!!!!!!!! WOW 70 lbs in 5 months is awesome!!! To plateau at 5 months is normal!! Excersise!!! (not my favorite thing) Walk , go to the gym just move that body. Try upping your protein intake. Drink an extra protein shake, have an extra serving of meat (or other protein) keep the extra serving in your diet for 2 weeks then back it out and see if that helps. You just sometimes need to play with your diet. Add take away......... I'm 17 months out and when I gain a few pounds I go back to basics. I do protein shakes and protein with very little carbs. You are still a newbie at 5 months out. Your body is probably just adjusting and you are probably losing inches. As far as the support group goes, I'm in southern California so I don't know about support groups in Dallas. You might want to contact your surgeons office and see if they know of one or go to Obesityhelp.com and see if they have any information on support groups in the Dallas area. WELCOME to the group!!!!!!!! If you have any questions PLEASE feel free to throw them out there!!! Hugs!!! > > Happy New Year to everyone!
