Guest guest
LOL Lynne ;-) Actually, if a woman is still of age to conceive, she will need to use 2 methods of BC after surgery because of malabsorbtion. I got an iud 1 1/2 yrs ago, so I don't have to worry about that. But if someone is taking the pill, you need to back it up with something else until you are at least 18 mos to 2 yrs out from surgery, or until menopause if you do not want to get pregnant after surgery at all. I am 45 and have one beautiful daughter of 15 yrs. Right now, I do not plan on any more, so the iud should take me clear through to menopause. Guest guest
Hi I was just wondering if anyone that has had the surgery is pregnant wants to or maybe has even given birth after the surgery? I am pretty sure I still would like to have another child and just read about a case where a woman and her baby died of complications. She had had a gastric bypass. Maybe you even know someone.. any information you have would be great. Janet
