Guest guest
If it was me, I would try to get him to sleep off the head -side or tummy. He is old enough fro tummy. Guest guest
Kimmy: Congrads to Jake first & foremost. How long was he banded?? I've been around the group 3.5+ yrs and have only heard of a few regression cases that I can remember. I think I've heard the odds of regression are like 1% or less. I think I'd still reposition Jake as much as you can being so young still. Like you said, he's still young & his skull is still quite malleable, it's better to be safe than sorry & keep him off the same spot for extended periods of time. Guest guest
Hi, I also have heard regression is rare, but we have read posts about it on occasion. Because we were able to see some really great correction from repositioning in our daughter Remy from 5 to 7 months, I guess the skull is still maleable at that age. It probably depends on whether or not Jake still has any remaining flat area that his head is now repeatedly settling on when he is sleeping on his back (if he still does) or if he spends alot of time in the carseat for long commute with his head position on any remaining post-treatment flat area, or things like that. How would you say Jake's headshape is since graduation? Since the longest, sustained head position period is at nighttime, I would try and work in some nighttime repo if possible. Unless you spend an inordinate amount of time with Jake in the carseat, I wouldn't do anything drastic there, just make sure he moves his head about in different positions with toys placed on alternating sides of the carseat, etc. Would you say he is up and about with tummy time during the day? I don't think you'd need to go repo overboard, but a little precautionary head rotation here and there might be a good idea! Guest guest
Hello Kimmy Congrats to Jake. ) I would probably reposition him for the next few months till his skull is a bit harder. Like all the other replies already stated our doctor told us as well that he had no regression case yet, so I assume this is a very rare thing. Let us know what you decide to do.
